Project narrative

On November 10 2001, President of the Cambodia’s Senate Samdech Chea Sim and Chinese Ambassador Ning Fukui laid the foundation stone for the Senate library and office building. The project was a request by the Royal Government of Cambodia to the People’s Republic of China, and the initial agreement was signed in June 20, 2001. The project is part of the Exchange of Notes concerning assistance on Economic and Technical Cooperation extended by China and Cambodia to strengthen the relationship between two countries. This project should be done within 9 months. Construction was carried out by Yanjian Group and is expected to cost 16.41 million yuan.
