Project narrative

On December 21, 2009, China Eximbank and the Government of Cambodia's Ministry of Finance signed a $15,228,192 preferential buyer's credit (PBC) loan agreement for the National Road 3762 (NR 3762) Rehabilitation Project. The borrowing terms of the loan were as follows: 20-year maturity, 7-year grace period, 2% interest rate . The proceeds of the loan were to be used by the borrower to partially finance an EPC contract with China Road & Bridge Corporation (CRBC). The purpose of this project was to rehabilitate a 26.45 km segment of National Road 3762 (NR 3762) that connects Senmonorom, the capital of Mondulkiri Province to Dak Dam, also in Mondulkiri Province. CRBC was the EPC contractor responsible for implementation. The project officially commenced on September 01, 2010 and was completed on December 01, 2012. The construction period was originally expected to last 27 months.
