Project narrative

On 2 May 2008, Cycone Nargis hit Myanmar leaving tens of thousands of people dead, missing, or homeless. In response, on May 18, 2008, the Chinese Government sent a 50-person medical team to Yangon, Myanmar to help treat the wounded (see Record ID#85635). Before returning to China, the medical team donated four medical-use vehicles, medical equipment, and medicines to Myanmar. The value of this donation is unknown.
