Description

Since 1967, the Chinese Government has been dispatching medical teams to the Republic of Congo every two years. Tianjin City is responsible for sending the teams. On August 26, 2002, the Chinese Government and the Republic of Congo signed a protocol agreement, dispatching the 17th Chinese medical team to the Republic of Congo [第17批援刚(布)医疗队]. The 23-member team was stationed at Makélékélé Reference Hospital (Hôpital de Makélékélé) and Talangaï Hospital (Hôpital De Talangaï) in the capital city of Brazzaville. It completed its term of service between December 2002 and December 20, 2004.
