Narrative

Full Description

Project narrative

On 12 August 2010, the Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar, Ye Dabo, accompanied the consular officer, Weng Jinshan, to meet schools within the Yangon area that provide a Chinese education. On behalf of the Chinese embassy, Ambassador Ye presented computers, copiers, fax machines, DVD players and other equipment to assist teaching. In his speech, Ambassador Ye mentioned that Myanmar has been actively training a large number of Chinese schools for a long time, to promote friendly exchanges between China and Myanmar. Currently, lessons provided cover areas like politics, economy, culture and education exchange. It is said that China hopes that these overseas compatriot schools will continue to make an even greater contributor towards the development of friendship between the two sides.
