Project narrative

In occasion of the signing of a MoU between China and Myanmar for the establishment of friendly relationship between the Beijing Lingguang Temple and the Shwedagon Pagoda of Yangon, which was held on 22 February 2012, the Chinese side declared that the earnings from the 4th enshrinement of the Buddha tooth relic (held in 2011) will be used for renovation of the Buddha relic Pagoda of the Beijing Lingguang Temple in China. The earnings will also be used for Buddhist affairs and charity undertakings in Myanmar.
