Project narrative

On December 20, 2007 during the Micronesian president's official visit to Beijing, Chinese and Micronesian government officials signed an economic and technical cooperation agreement (ETCA) granting 20 million RMB (roughly $2.7 million in 2007 USD) for unspecified purposes. It was ratified by Micronesia's congress on 20 February 2008. During the same visit in December 2007, an additional grant agreement was signed between the two countries (#41946).
