Description

On April 25, 2007 St. Lucia announced that it was renewing diplomatic ties with Taiwan. This was followed by an announcement by the Chinese government that they no longer planned on honoring a $6.7mil Eastern Caribbean dollar technical and economic agreement that was signed on September 28, 2006 which was planned to have resulted in a National Cultural Complex for St. Lucia. The details of financial agreements are unknown because the project plan was short lived.
