Description

On March 7, 2011, the Chinese Government announced that it would provide a RMB 40 million grant to Tunisia (see 'نائب وزير خارجية الصين: دعم الصين الدائم لمسيرة تونس وشعبها على درب التقدم والتنمية'). Then, on April 21, 2011, the Chinese Government and the Government of Tunisia signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA), in which the Chinese Government committed a RMB 40 million grant to Tunisia to finance projects jointly agreed upon by the two governments (see 'Chinese Government Business Delegation Visit to Tunisia'). The Tunisian Government ratified this ETCA on September 21, 2011, via Decree n° 2011-2423. Tunisia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs was responsible for the implementation of this decree (see pg.1995 of 'Jort N° 074/2011 - Version Française').
