Description

On June 18, 2012, the Moroccan and Chinese governments signed a grant agreement for the National Tea Museum Construction Project. The purpose of this project was to construct a National Tea Museum in the city of Essaouira. The Tea Museum was to be 2,300 square meters large and exhibit art objects used during Moroccan and Chinese tea ceremonies. According to the “Virtual Green Tea Museum” the Chinese government intended to construct the Essaouira Tea Museum in 2014, but has not yet done so.
