Description

On March 30, 2011, Liberia's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Toga Gayewea Mcintosh, signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) with China's Vice Minister of Commerce Fu Ziyang. This ETCA allocated a grant worth 50 million RMB to the government of Liberia. According to a Foreign Ministry release the grant will be used for projects to be agreed on by the two governments.This grant was used for installation of solar powered lights in Monrovia (#1799). This grant was also used to fund the construction of 50 boreholes worth 9.8 million RMB (#1798). Additional sub-projects are unknown.
