Description

On 3 September 2008, Ghanaian President Kufuor witnessed the signing of seven agreements with the Government of China. Two of these documents were economic and technical cooperation agreements (ETCA) with a total value of $7.4 million USD for unspecified development projects. The other ETCA is captured in project #21604. It is unclear if this is a grant or interest-free loan. The other known agreements signed at the same meeting are as follows: (1) $270 million USD concessional loan for the Bui Hydro Power Dam (#1768), (2) $292 million USD PBC loan also for the dam (#183), (3) 58 million RMB GCL for an ICT-based distance learning program at the University of Ghana (#1882) and (4) $250,000 USD for anti-malaria drugs (#1879).

Additional details

The language from source ID 11591 is vague. It's either the case that both the ETCAs are each worth $7.4 million USD or that their combined value is $7.4 million USD.
