Description

In November 2009, the Chinese government signed a grant of $15 million USD to Ghana for agricultural development. According to John Jinapor, spokesperson for Ghana’s Vice President John Mahama, the aid was the result of bilateral talks between Ghana's Vice President and Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao at the China-Africa Cooperation Forum.The 15 million USD grant will be used for agricultural modernization in Ghana from 2009-2013. The individual projects funded under this grant are not yet known.
