On 6 March, 2008, the Chinese Government and the Government of Zimbabwe signed letters of exchange, officially dispatching the 11th medical team to Zimbabwe (See: 中华人民共和国政府和津巴布韦共和国政府关于中国派遣医疗队赴津巴布韦工作的议定书(2008)). The 11th medical team consisted of 10 members (See: 中华人民共和国政府和津巴布韦共和国政府关于中国派遣医疗队赴津巴布韦工作的议定书(2008)). They were stationed at Harare Central Hospital and Mpilo Central Hospital. They completed their term of service between May 2008 and 2010 (See: 中华人民共和国政府和津巴布韦共和国政府关于中国派遣医疗队赴津巴布韦工作的议定书(2008)).The Chinese Government has been sending medical teams to Zimbabwe every two years since 1985 (See: 湖南医疗队赴津巴布韦卫生援助).
