Description
On December 30, 2009, the Chinese Government signed an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) with the Government Ghana, which committed an interest-free loan worth RMB 40 million for unspecified technical cooperation activities. The loan had a maturity period of 10 years. The agreements were signed between Ghanaian Minister for Finance and Economic Planning Dr. Kwabena Duffuor and Chinese Ambassador to Ghana Mr. Yu Wenzhe. It is unclear how the loan proceeds were used. The ETCA was signed in addition to a Chinese Government grant worth RMB 60 million (captured in #2002).
