Description

In December 2005, Chinese Ambassador to Kenya, Guo Chongli signed an agreement for economic and technical cooperation in Jowhar, Somalia with Somali President, Abdulahi Yusuf Ahmed, by which the Chinese government granted 50 million Yuan (roughly $7.5 million) as well as $100,000 in cash to Somalia for financing the provision of goods or previously-agreed upon projects.On the same occasion, China Charity Federation donated $250,000 humanitarian aid to Somalia (project #60799). A $3 million debt relief is also linked to this ETCA but uncertain if is a part of it (project #2284).
