On 6 July 2012, China Eximbank and the Angola Ministry of Finance signed a $500 million loan agreement to finance 17 projects involving hospitals, water supply, transportation, education, and 'other fields.' The loan terms are unknown. It is unclear whether this loan was ever disbursed. The sub-projects are yet to be tracked down.
A Chinese MOFCOM article (source #88753) says this is a single $500 million USD agreement, but a French Press Agency article (source #16144) says it was 17 separate agreements with a total value of $500 million USD. AidData relies on the former since it is an official source.
