Description

China and Cambodia signed a number of agreements during Prime Minister Hun Sen's visit to China April 6-10, 2013, including soft loan agreements worth $500 million USD as well as RMB 300 million in grants (as captured in Project ID#62486). The agreements were signed by Hun Sen and Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. The loans and grant money will be used mostly for infrastructure projects.Known projects drawing from the total loans promised include:#38815- RMB 329.7 million government concessional loan for Phase 2 of Stung Chikreng River Basin Water Resources Development Project#38780- RMB 126 million government concessional loan for 7th China-Cambodia Friendship Koh Thom Bridge Construction Project#62488- RMB 200 million interest-free loan through an Economic and Technical Cooperation Agreement (ETCA) for unspecified purposes
