Description

On 27 May 2003, Chinese Vice President Zeng Qinghong and Afghan Vice President Nimartullah Shaharani signed an agreement, under which China would provide US$15 million in grant over five years for reconstruction (2003-2007). Details such as which project would benefit from the grant are yet to be found. On the same date, China had also provided Afghanistan with US$1 million in cash assistance (See Project ID#37850). This project should not be confused with #34509 because China provided a change of note for the reconstruction of the Parwan Irrigation Project on the same date, but the the Irrigation project has a separate intent and signing date. This project may be a subproject of #34498.
