Description

On 24 March 2010, during Afghan President Karzai's visit to Beijing, China announced that it would provide 160 million in Chinese Yuan in aid to Afghanistan. The aid will be used for infrastructure construction, medical, health, and education. Details on which specific project would benefit from the aid are yet to be found. No updates have been made on the status of the pledge. On the same date, China and Afghanistan signed 3 agreements; one of them is reported to be a loan agreement (See Project ID#38971)
