Description

On November 19, 2001 during a meeting between Chinese President Jiang Zemin and Equatorial Guinea President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, the Chinese Government agreed to provide unspecified interest-free loans to the Government of Equatorial Guinea. It is unclear how many loans or how much they are worth. During the same meeting, China also canceled $39.9 million of the Government of Equatorial Guinea’s outstanding obligations (captured in #472).
