Description

Between May 10 and May 14, 2007, during the visit of Ivorian Foreign Minister Youssouf Bakayoko to Beijing, the Chinese Government and the Government of Cote D'Ivoire signed a €1 million EUR interest-free loan agreement for unspecified projects. It is unclear whether these funds were ever disbursed. Officials also signed a €10 million EUR grant agreement (see project ID#13025) and cancelled RMB 180 million in sovereign debt (see project ID#20244) (see 'China writes off 40 percent of Ivory Coast debt').
