In September 2020, the Sichuan Province People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries donated 5,120 masks to the New Zealand China Friendship Society. These masks were donated to the group's Auckland, Hamilton, Christchurch, Tauranga, and Rotorua branches. These masks were further distributed to unknown community groups. The financial value of the donation is unknown.
