Full Description

Project narrative

At some time between 2008 and 2018, the Shanghai Municipal Government donated building materials for annual maintenance of the Dunedin Chinese Garden. The materials included wood, granite stone, marble stone, and a type of stone called "landscape stone" in China. The materials are estimated to be worth at least "a few hundred thousand dollars." Other details about the donation are unknown.

Staff comments

1. Given that the garden opened in 2008, AidData has used 2008 as the estimated commitment date for this project record. 2. As the estimated value of the donation is approximately "a few hundred thousand dollars," AidData has used a conservative estimate of NZD 300,000 for this project record.
