This supplies arrived in Portugal on March 29, 2020 on a TAP Air Portugal plane chartered by the Government of Portugal and was transported to Braga by Torrestir, a ground transportation company. The supplies were received in Braga on April 7, 2020. The Ambassador of Portugal in China, José Augusto Duartee, together with his staff, was fundamental in transporting the supplies to Portugal. The supplies were distributed within Braga to Private Social Solidarity Institutions (IPSS’s), homes, and the Municipal Civil Protection services. Shenyang City also expressed in the video conference on March 20, 2020 that they were willing to share their experience in COVID-19 prevention work and public health crisis management.
