On December 5, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in the Philippines donated flood disaster relief assistance to Santa Maria City in Davao Occidental Province. Chinese Consul General in Davao Li Lin, Philippine Congressman Claudine Bautista, and Santa Maria City Mayor Claude Bautista attended the handover ceremony. The monetary value of this donation is unknown.
