Project narrative

In February 2022, Liyang City Government donated a pavilion to its German sister city of Fulda in celebration of Fulda's 200th anniversary. The pavilion is in traditional Chinese architectural style. Construction started in February 2022 and finished in late March 2022. Parts of the pavilion were then transported by the China-Europe freight train to Germany and assembled locally. The anniversary celebration was held on June 23, 2022, in which the pavilion was exhibited at Fasanerie Castle. Liyang and Fulda have been sister cities since April 2016.
