Project narrative

On July 27, 2022, Ambassador to Uruguay Wang Gang attended the handover ceremony of emergency anti-epidemic supplies from China to Uruguay held at the National Health Services Administration of Uruguay. The donation included 30 lung ventilation devices, 50 digital electrocardiographs, 40 monitors, 15 color echo Doppler devices, 100,000 facial protection masks, 5,000 protective devices, 400,000 nitrile gloves, and 15 telescopic sanitary tents and was worth RMB 5,000,000 ($746,000). The donation was made specifically to the State Health Services Administration (ASSE) and the National Emergency System (SINAE). The donation was made to help Uruguay cope with the COVID-19 pandemic and to further Chinese-Uruguay relations.
