Full Description

Project narrative

On January 25, 2022, the Chinese Government provided agricultural vehicles to Niger. The purpose of the donation was to support Niger’s grain transportation and distribution capacity. The vehicle assistance included 15 tractors, 15 van transport semi-trailers, 18 van transport vehicles, 2 SUVs, and 15 pickup trucks. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation in Niger’s capital Niamey. Jiang Feng, China’s Ambassador to Niger, and Al-Qash Al-Hada, Minister of Trade of Niger, attended and delivered speeches. Nearly 100 other people attended, including Zhang Shengbin, Economic and Commercial Counselor of the Embassy, Aruseni Icotam, General Manager of the Agricultural Products Office of Niger, and employees of the institution. Before the end of the event, the two sides signed project handover certificates on behalf of their respective governments.
