Project narrative

On March 27, 2022, the Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan held a handover ceremony in Kabul for a donation of supplies from the China South-South Cooperation Assistance Fund (SSCAF) and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR). The Chinese ambassador to Afghanistan said that the SSCAF approved a request from UNHCR for humanitarian aid for Afghanistan in 2021. UNHCR used the fund's contributions to purchase over 2,400 emergency tents, more than 7,400 assistance kits with cooking utensils, blankets, and gas tanks, and over 20,000 school bags.
