Project narrative

In August 2022, Farah province suffered severe flash floods. China donated humanitarian goods in response to the ongoing disaster. On November 28, 2022 (1401/9/7), the Farah province Disaster Preparedness Department distributed Chinese food aid to two needy families. Each family received 50kg of wheat and 50kg of rice. The Farah province Disaster Preparedness Department is part of the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority (ANDMA). On December 11, 2022, Farah province Disaster Preparedness Department distributed Chinese aid including 200 tents, 200 plastic buckets, 1,500 blankets, 3,400 sacks of rice, toothpastes, brushes and tarpaulin in Farah City, the capital of Farah province. From late November to December 2022, more than 5,380 families received Chinese humanitarian aid in Farah province.
