Full Description

Project narrative

On December 29, 2021 (1400/10/08), the Afghanistan National Disaster Management Authority began distributing humanitarian aid from Xinjiang to needy families in Kunduz province. The aid included winter clothes, shoes, and food. The aid was also to be distributed in Baghlan, Badakhshan, and Takhar provinces. On February 6, 2022, a train carrying wheat left Xinjiang for Afghanistan. It carried the second batch of aid donated by Xinjiang, which consisted of 600 tonnes of wheat. The same train carried aid from the China Red Cross Society (see Record ID#100410), and arrived in Afghanistan by March 16th. Both batches of aid together were valued at USD 420,000.
