Project narrative

On April 29, 2022, as part of the “Food Drive with Love” campaign, Shanghai Electric and its subsidiary the Thar Coal Block-1 Power Generation Company distributed ration bags to 700 families in need near the site of the Thar Block-1 Integrated Coal Mine Power Project. Each ration bag contained 14 staple foods intended to help alleviate food insecurity during Ramadan, including flour, sugar, and rice. The ration bags were distributed by workers on the Thar Block-1 Integrated Coal Mine Power Project (captured in Record ID#92627, #92628, and #53674).
