Project narrative

On December 9, 2022, a ceremony took place covering the opening of new scholarships funded by the Bank of China (Hong Kong) and Bursaries. The funding is to be directed towards college students in Myanmar. The scholarship program will benefit 100 students in total. Chinese Ambassador to Myanmar Chen Hai, Governor of the Central Bank of Myanmar Than Than Shwe, and Chinese Embassy in Myanmar Tan Shufu, Commercial Counselor of the Embassy, Chen Wen, Vice President of BOC Hong Kong, Chen Hongtao, Secretary General of China Rural Development Foundation, Liu Ying, President of BOC Hong Kong Yangon Branch, and representatives from the Ministry of Education of Myanmar and Yangon University attended the meeting
