Project narrative

On August 3, 2022, China Power Investment Corporation and China Southern Power Grid Company (part of Vinh Tan I consortium) donated 300 million Vietnamese Dong to the province for pandemic relief support. A ceremony was held for this donation. Wei Huaxiang, Consul General of China in Ho Chi Minh City, Li Junfeng, Chairman of the People's Committee of Ping Soon Province of Vietnam, Wei Xichen, Business Counselor of the Consulate General, and Hu Feixiong, Deputy General Manager of China Southern Power Grid International Company, attended the ceremony.

Vinh Tan I is a power station project in Vietnam that was jointly developed by the two Chinese state-owned companies as well as Vinacomin, a Vietnamese State-owned company. However, because the Chinese companies control 95% of the company, this project is coded as a Chinese donation project.
