Project narrative

On March 27th, 2019, the Chinese Chamber of Commerce held a donation ceremony at the headquarters of the Mozambique National Disaster Relief Agency. They donated mineral water, biscuits, quilts and other materials to aid in disaster relief after Mozambique was hit by Cyclone Idai (see Record ID#100509). Also during the ceremony PowerChina donated 1.5 million meticals. Five units of PowerChina assisted in the donation including Power Construction International, the Ninth Hydropower Bureau, the Eleventh Hydropower Bureau, Shandong Electric Power Construction and Jiangxi Electric Power Construction. PowerChina also dispatched personnel during the cyclone to restore power.
