Project narrative

In 2017, the China-Portuguese Cooperation and Development Fund provided a USD $20 million unsecured loan to Canadian Solar to construct the Pirapora I solar power plant in Brazil (see Record ID#100513). Then, on April 2nd, 2020, the company received US$30 million (approximately 212 million yuan) in financing from the China-Portuguese Fund Canadian Solar to develop and construct the company's photovoltaic power plant projects in Brazil.
