Project narrative

On October 20, 2022, the Chinese Embassy in Tajikistan hosted a symposium for Tajik students studying in China. The Chinese Embassy in Tajikistan had also sponsored the travel costs for these students to go to China.

Staff comments

1. The students who received the travel funding seem to also have received Chinese government scholarships. 2. The students who received the funding may all have been Uyghur, as the president of the Tajikistan Uyghur association was present at the symposium.
