Project narrative

On August 19, 2022, the Chinese Government donated 1000 high quality bullet proof vests to Royal Papua New Guinea Constabulary. The supplies were distributed to front-line police forces in the highlands on August 20, 2022. The donation will enhance police capabilities and improve their completion of election security duties. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation. China’s Ambassador to Papua New Guinea, Zeng Fanhua, and Inspector General of PNG Police, David Manning, attended the ceremony and signed the material handover certificate.
