Project narrative

On May 31, 2022, the Chinese Consulate in Almaty provided supplies to children in Almaty’s Poor Children Support Center. The donation included books, clothes, hats, toys, and other materials. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. A handover ceremony was held for this donation. Deputy Consul General Zhong Hua, Ms. Alenova, Counselor of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Kazakhstan, and the head of the Assistance Center attended the ceremony. The Almaty’s Poor Children Support Center is a municipal public institution affiliated to the Ashi Education Bureau. It was established in March 2011. It is committed to helping orphans aged 3 to 18 and provides social services such as education, medical care and psychological counseling. There are 64 children and more than 10 teaching staff at the center.
