Project narrative

In 2021, a 2-year coffee production project funded by the Lancang Mekong Cooperation Fund began. The project encompass 6.47 hectares of land where pilot coffee farms were established in Mandalay and Magway regions and Chin and Shan states. Under the project, the agriculture department conducted training for 1,736 coffee farmers for processing technology and provided them with agricultural equipment.Goals of this project are to make coffee a main export for Myanmar. The total amount of funding from the LMC Fund is 440,000 USD.
