Project narrative

On November 24, 2022, there was a handover ceremony for the Chinese-donated police equipment to the Kiribati Police Service at the Police Headquarters in Betio. The government of the People's Republic of China represented by Ambassador Zhou Limin has handed over police equipment including brass band equipment, mobile phones, tablets, traffic cones and vests, sport wear, and many more to the Acting Commissioner Mr Eeri Aritiera. These equipment will be used by the KPS for the enhancement of its services to the people of Kiribati. This handing over ceremony was witnessed by officials from the Chinese Embassy, the Assistance Police team from China, and the Senior Management Group from KPS.
