Project narrative

As of August 2022, China has built 3,000 homes in Myanmar's Rakhine state. The construction of these homes will allow Rohingya Muslims to repatriate to Myanmar. Over the years, hundreds of thousands of Rohingya Muslims have fled violent persecution in Myanmar and taken refuge in Bangladesh. It is unknown how many homes China intends to build as part of this donation. The monetary value of the donation is unknown.
