Project narrative

On December 16, 2022, Lianyungang City Library in Jiangsu Province, China, donated 400 books on ancient Chinese history to Almaty and Aktau in Kazakhstan. In 2021, Lianyungang City Library launched a cultural exchange and sharing project among the libraries of cities in countries along the “Belt and Road”. This project aims to provide extensive, accurate and fast knowledge learning for people in countries along the Silk Road. The monetary value of this donation is unknown. At present, Lianyungang City Library has established relationships with three sister city libraries in countries along the “Belt and Road”.
