Project narrative

On June 2, 2023, a Chinese-funded Luban Workshop was opened at Kumasi Technical University in Ghana. The purpose of the workshop is to cultivate agricultural talents and promote local agricultural development. Operations of the workshop include technical and vocational training, promote modern vocational education reforms, and enhance collaboration among vocational schools. The workshop is the result of multilateral agreements signed on May 21, 2022, by Kumasi Technical University, Rizhao Polytechnic, and AVIC International. The workshop was jointly established by the Liaoning Agricultural Technical College in China and the University of Energy and Natural Resources in Ghana. The project was financed by the China Ministry of Education and supported by China Education Association for International Exchange. The monetary value of the workshop and its operations is unknown.
