Project narrative

On April 23, 2022, the third batch of COVID-19 inactivated vaccines and other materials provided by the Chinese government to Vanuatu arrived in Port Vila, the capital of Vanuatu. Ambassador to Vanuatu Zhou Haicheng and Director-General of the Ministry of Health Tamata went to the airport to receive the relevant supplies. This batch includes 100,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccine, 102,400 syringes, and 10,000 rapid antigen test reagents. The accurate monetary value of the donation is unknown. AidData estimates amount is calculated based on the market price of the supply when the donation is implemented.
