Project narrative

On June 30, 2015, the Chinese Embassy donated 10,000 books and 750 DVDs to Seoul National University in South Korea. The materials donated covered a range of topics including Chinese culture and history. A ceremony was held for the donation at SNU’s Central Library, where Chinese Ambassador Qiu Guohong delivered a speech. This donation was pledged by President Xi Jinping in July 2014 during a visit to South Korea.
