Project narrative

On February 11, 2022, Tonga received more than. 110 pieces of Heavy-Duty Infrastructure Equipment donated by China. These materials arrived by sea and included Graders, Single and Double drum rollers, Tire rollers, Excavators, Dump Trucks, Skid Steer Loaders, Milling machines, Bulldozers, Generators, Crawler Excavators, Tractors, Semi-Trailers, Dump Trucks and Crawler/Excavators worth an estimated USD $11,459,968.61(TOP $26 million). They were used to repair roads, bridges, airports and ports damaged by the volcanic eruption and earthquake that occurred earlier in January.
