Project narrative

On Nov. 5th, 2022, PowerChina, a Chinese state-owned hydropower and civil engineering construction company, donated 504 sets of solar-power light systems to the Lauteye village in Bunkure local government area of Kano state, north Nigeria. Over 300 families in the village benefited. The donation will help end the village's reliance on charcoal fires or kerosene lamps for nighttime lighting in the village.
