Project narrative

On June 5, 2022, Chen Zhihong, China’s Ambassador to Mali, went to Sugun City, Kulicro Region to attend the groundbreaking ceremony of the primary school in Gongbala Village. Ms. Hydra, Chairman of the Mali Humanitarian Association, local officials and villagers' representatives also attended the ceremony. The purpose of the primary school is to support long-term educational development in Mali. Details of China’s funding for the school construction are unknown. On October 7, 2022, Ambassador Chen Zhihong and his wife, Dong Zhijiao, went to Sugun City, Kuricro District to attend the inauguration ceremony of China's assistance to the construction of Gongbara Village Primary School.
